I want you to look and feel your best!
Start with yourself!
Trust me, I have been there. I have had to dress 2 rambunctious toddler boys and my husband for a photoshoot. I was determined not to buy new outfits but to use something that already existed in our closets. I had everything planned perfectly. As I was going back and forth between outfits I began to overanalyze and I was losing time. Session date came, we loaded the boys in the car and I ran out of the house with my house slippers on! I was so stressed forgot to pick out my shoes! Looking back, it probably would have been a fun photo session with mom in a beautiful floral dress and in her house slippers. Had I put less pressure on myself to be perfect it would have gone much smoother.
Jokes aside, deciding how to dress your family can be a stressful process. My biggest advice would be to start with yourself. Find an outfit that makes you feel confident and beautiful. Something that accentuates all of your positive features. From there, dress your partner and kids. Try to avoid each person in harsh patterns and designs. One person in pattern is okay; however, having multiple people in this style will clash and we want your family to look like a strong unit. Stick with solid colors and a similar color pallet for males and kids.
Keep in mind that your outfits should express each members personality. I don't want you or your family to be in anything that will make them feel uncomfortable. These are photos you will have for years so when you look back at them make sure your outfits fit the way your family is and be true to you! It's part of my job to make sure you are seen in the best light possible!
Hope this helps. I'm happy to advise in any way!
