Is there a travel fee?
There is no travel fee for a client that lives up to 40 miles from the 95037 area code (South Bay/East Bay/ Peninsula/Gilroy). For clients more than 40 miles away, please contact me for a custom quote.
Are there additional fees?
There are no additional fees. The session is all-inclusive. The flat-rate fee includes an on-location session experience and a high-resolution digital image gallery.
What is the turnaround time?
The turnaround time for digital files is 2 weeks for all sessions. If I go over the deadline you will receive a free 8x10 print of your choice.
What should I wear?
Something comfortable and cute! I want you to be you! However, if you need styling suggestions that's something we can discuss when you book a session.
Part of my job is to interact with your kids. I want to capture all their moments. Please make sure your kids are fed before the session and they are well-rested. Even for a quick 20 minutes, it can be a lot for them. I try to work fast! Snacks are great for after the session; so please don't bribe them during.
What is lifestyle photography?
Lifestyle photography is a style of photography that focuses on capturing people in real-life situations in an artistic way. During our session, we will take posed photos, in the beginning, however, the majority of your session will be directed, relaxed, natural, and fun. I like to play music to help feel more at peace. Additionally, I like to get to know my clients as everyone is so unique. My goal is to be able to capture that uniqueness. It’s important you feel comfortable being able to cuddle your kids or kiss your spouse so these special moments shine through your portraits.
We want an outdoor session, do you have locations you can recommend?
Of course! There are many beautiful locations around the bay area that I can recommend. We will choose a location that best fits your style and convenience. Since I take photos with the golden hour sun it's important you arrive on time to maximize our time together.
Do you offer prints?
I offer an adorable 7x7 photobook keepsake (up to 20-25 images). You will also receive an online gallery of 50+ high-resolution images from our session. However, this option is not included for mini sessions.
Can we include pets in our session?
Yes! Pets are welcome. They are part of the family, too! Just let me know ahead of time.
Can we select images that we want?
Many images are taken during a session. Afterward, each image is put through a selection process. You will receive images that meet the standards of the photographer. Please let me know ahead of time any special image requests. RAW or unedited files will not be delivered as they are not a representation of the final work.
What payment do you accept?
For mini sessions, I don't require a deposit. I accept checks, cash, Venmo, or ZellePay. Checks can be made out to Julia Alexandra Photography. The full amount is due at the time of the session.
I know your time is valuable and I want to make sure we use the best of it. Please try to arrive on time for your session. If you run late (things happen!) please keep me in the loop by texting. I would greatly appreciate it.
